Dear Members and Friends,
After a wonderful winter of discovering some fantastic wines, we're bringing our Winter Wine Tasting Series to a close with something rather special.
Join us at the Ilam Homestead on Tuesday 01 September 2026, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, for our final Winter Wine Tasting, featuring Brockenchack Wines from South Australia's renowned Barossa region.
We're delighted to welcome Darren Naylor, Brockenchack's Family Wine Ambassador, who will be travelling from Australia to share the Brockenchack story, their wines, and the passion behind this remarkable family-owned winery.
A Family Story in Every Bottle
Brockenchack Wines is a family-owned and operated, single-vineyard producer based in Eden Valley, in the beautiful high country of South Australia's famed Barossa region.
Nestled among some of the region's most iconic names, including Henschke and Yalumba, Brockenchack has an extraordinary history of its own — with some of its Riesling vines dating back to 1896.
Founder Trev established Brockenchack in 2008 as both a passion project and a legacy for his grandchildren. The name itself is a wonderful family story, stitched together from the names of his four grandchildren:
BROnte • MacKENzie • CHArli • JACK
Now young adults, the next generation are beginning to explore their own passions and roles within the family business.
Brockenchack's philosophy is simple: to create expressive, balanced wines that people genuinely love to drink, while sharing the personal stories and family heritage behind every bottle.
Wines on the Night
Darren will guide us through a fantastic selection from the Brockenchack portfolio, including:

- 2026 Tru-Su Rosé
- 2024 Archie Scott GMS
- 2022 Zip Line Shiraz
- 2021 Jack Harrison Shiraz
- 2021 D.E.N. Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
From the historic 1896 Riesling vines through to rich Barossa reds, this promises to be a fascinating tasting that showcases the diversity, heritage and family story behind Brockenchack Wines.
